Introducing…. Dead Reynolds
Rossco, Luke, Ben, Dom & Luke – together making noise and coming to a stage near you!
Hailing from East Anglia, Mixing Alternative Rock and Pop punk with anthemic melodies and unexpected twists, Dead Reynolds formerly formed in Oct 2018, but all the band members knew each other from previous musical interests and playing on the local Cambridge and Peterborough music scene.
The band wrote a number of new songs straight away and released the single 'Dust' which was playlisted on Kerrang! Radio and made no 7 in the Radio Indie Alliance chart and was also single of the week for Local Distortion. The video was featured on Kerrang! TV and Scuzz.
The band gained recognition by taking the bold step of booking a 12 date UK tour to promote new material in Nov 2018 and from this signed a new record deal with Fort Records and Management deal with Crescendo Music Management.
The band released their next single 'Pieces' in March 2019 which gained notable radio plays and was play listed on Kerrang! Radio, being pioneered by Johnny Doom. The video was shot underground in the caverns of a historic building In Lings Lynn and was featured on Scuzz Tv as well as a radio stations in USA/Australia and Europe. Pieces also made no 6 of the Radio Indie Alliance charts and was single of the week for BBC Radio Cambridgeshire,
The band released a 5 track EP 'Souls' in July 2019 which was recorded and produced by Jack Murphy at Crystal Sounds Studio. This collaboration sees the band explore different styles and bring in a more riff-based element to the music. Live shows are a massive part of the band’s DNA and 2019 was incredible. Dead Reynolds played main support to Deaf Havana at their sold-out homecoming show to 1000 people and Mallory Knox at their album launch show at Cambridge Junction.
Also in 2019, the band played a number of festivals including headlining the Soap Box festival in Norfolk and supporting Mark Morris of the Blue Tones in a Cathedral were major highlights.
The third single from the EP 'Souls' was released on 31st October and celebrated a year of the band, with a montage video that documents the many sides of the band and really encompasses the fun loving and energy the band have.
The single 'Lines' was released on 27th March 2020 and was picked up by Kerrang! Radio for a premiere and has been played by 200 radio stations worldwide in 15 different countries.
'By your Side' was released on 5th June 2020 and, due to the lockdown restrictions, the video was shot entirely by the band at their houses and edited by Sam Lance. The track achieved a UK No1 in the Independent charts. The EP 'Frontier' was released at the end of June and, to date, has had circa 100k streams on Spotify with some great reviews –
“Catchy & Alluring, Memorable rock tracks. The Brits certainly have world domination in their sites” Carl “The disc” Fisher
“4/5 – These 4 tracks are blistering, rough and tumble glory outing Dead Reynolds in great stead for imminent scene Dominance” Into The Pit
“Summer ready anthems, with oodles of riffs and power. Dead Reynolds under the sky in a field somewhere, would have killed and left the stage with a legion of new fans safely tucked in their pockets” Devils Gate Music
“Powerplay Magazine 8/10”
“What stands this band out from the crowd is their deliverance and undoubted passion for what they do – 4/5” The Punk site
“Frontier is well played, brilliantly produced and most importantly, hugely catchy. Crunch, melody, power and hooks, Dead Reynolds set themselves a benchmark for lovers of 21st century alt-rock. Very much a priority listen” Real Gone Rocks
"A bit biased here because I liked the other two tracks you sent from Dead Reynolds. First off, what a great title, kind of a casual insult, love it. Tracks that come straight in like this always have a slight edge; you seem to get into them quicker. I was expecting this to hit the mark and it certainly does, just love the overall sound, it's got that produced sound that bands like Circa Survive use (if you don't know them check out a track called "I Feel Free"). This is just a great track at the end of the day, untamed British alternative rock at its best!" - Chris Straw, Bauer Radio Producer
'PS' was the last single from the EP and released in August 2020. Again, it was played all over the world and has scored the No 1 spot in England, Spain, and Australia in the Indie Alliance charts.
The band continues to produce evolve with more new tracks. 'Voices' will be released in November 2020 and see a fresh sound from the band with supporting video and National radio play. It was premiered on the Johnny Doom show on Kerrang! on 17th November and the band has received high praise from the Industry:-
"Loving this bad boy, it hooked me in right from the start. Production is superb, had it really cranked up, there's so much going on in here I don't know how they packed it all in! Three minutes of power packed alt-rock you'll want to keep repeat"- Chris Straw, Bauer Radio
"I am not sure there is a finer anthemically emotive roar out there right now than Dead Reynolds" - Pete RingMaster
The band has continued to work hard during 2021. 'Bright Lights' was released in February and their debut album, 'Breath With Strangers' is due for release in September. A massive launch show has been announced and hosted by very special guest Alex Baker of Kerrang! radio. With the phased return of live music, more announcements will be made soon.
They are also extremely pleased to be involved in a Rockumentary book captured by World renowned Rock photographer Nick Elliott.
